crazy week......

Last Saturday we thought it might be fun to go to the horse races. There is a small track not too far from our house and I had never been and we thought the kids might enjoy seeing the horses. We didn't plan too well because it was about 50 degrees outside that night (i know, i know... nothing to complain about in WA, but in TX... that's too darn cold when you're not used to it!) So we tried to bundle up the best we could. The kids wanted nothing to do with their jackets since they haven't had to wear one for so long, but once they got outside, they gave in. It was kids night too so they got balloons and their faces painted. Caroline and Nicholas were both really upset the next morning when their paint was gone :(

Little did we know that night, that it would be the start of the stomach flu in our house. I will spare you all the details. I'm sure you can imagine the worst... and that's what it was!

Fortunately for little Nicholas and his teeth, he was recovered enought to go to the dentist yesterday to get one of his teeth fixed. He was a total sport and he and i had a fun day hanging out together. The kids are so different when they are the only one with you.. it was a lot of fun and something joe and I need to do more often!

Molly LOVES her big brother. Most of the time he is nice to her... she was giving him kisses on the cheek.

and then two minutes later he was trying to squish her into the couch.... oh brotherly love!
