Playing Catch-up....

Been a little while since i've sat down and tried to think clearly and type on our blog.... not sure how clearly my typing will be today, but i'll try.

We are finally back in TX. We had a great time in the NW but it is wonderful to look out our living room windows and see blue sky and sunshine. I don't think I wore my sunglasses once while I was in Gig Harbor. We've needed them everyday since we've been home :) I won't complain!
We had a fun time hanging out with all our friends back home... the kids have been asking everyday about somebody. And wondering if they are coming to visit or will be coming to our new house this summer in GA. Hopefully we'll find an even better house than we have now and will have plenty of room for visitors.
While home I got to go out on a couple girls nights. Kj, Becky, Julie and I spent the night in Seattle at the W. We had a great time and a couple other people joined us as well....

Kendra was one of them :)

I know that Nana & Papa were glad to have us visit, but they are probably loving the peace and quiet they now have with us gone. The rocking horse that Papa built was a hit as usual... Miss Molly figured it out and had a blast rocking....

Caroline and her Nana...

Nana and her babes.....
Caroline excited for Nana's birthday cake! This girl LOVES parties and LOVES cake! Any excuse to make a cake and she's ready to go bake in the kitchen!
The girls....
What? we can't play in the bathroom??? TROUBLE!!!

When we got home Daddy got Molly up from her nap and for about 5 minutes she would not let go of him. It was pretty darn cute!

Molly's new thing is to take pictures or to say "Cheese" when i'm taking a picture of her. Unfortunately, when she says "cheese" it isn't all that cute!

not cute!

While we were at Nana's Molly figured out how to climb out of her crib. One of the first things we did when we got home was change Molly's crib into a toddler bed. She has done a very good job of staying in there while sleeping. She looks like she's crying in this picture, but she is really saying "cheese" through her binki... silly girl!

The other fun, eventful thing that happened while we were home was Nicholas cracking his head open on a dresser. Mom was out with the girls for Rachel's birthday and Nicholas and Caroline were at Matt & Brady's with Chris. Nicholas got pushed or fell out of bed and caught the corner of the dresser. Chris did a good job of maintaining his sanity during the events that unfolded and for some reason Bec nor I had our phones on the table... oops! Finally got the message and I went out to get Nicholas and take him to urgent care. A little glue and he was good to go... Picture below isn't that pretty, so if you're squeemish.. don't look :)

SNOW!!!!!!!!

Today out of the blue, it started snowing. When we got here there was almost 2 feet of snow on the ground. most of it was off the main roads, but there was a bunch left over and all mushy and no fun to play in. There was another dusting the other morning, but not enough for the kids to play in.. So, today we were shocked when the snow kept coming down and kept sticking. The kids went out early and then we went out a little bit later to play some more. It supposed to warm up tonight and and be all gone tomorrow morning. But tonight was fun!

Another big hit since we've been here is Papa's train. All the kids love to play it and the older two are pretty good at getting it started. But, the train is old and just can't take being played with too much. So tonight we had one last go 'round and tried to get all the cars to go... sadly they didn't, but the kids had fun!

My little angel....

Caroline, and Nicholas, had a little school program the last day of school. Caroline was an Angel in the play. She was really cute, but too bad she's not always an angel... The program was cute. Sometimes she sang, sometimes she just smiled.

Nicholas' class joined Caroline's on stage after a little while, but Nicholas just stood there and smiled or laughed at joe and i. Silly kids!

After the program there was a little party and Santa and Mrs. Clause were there. The kids were more excited to see Mrs. Clause than Santa.. pretty cute to watch them talk to her.

We spent Christmas in Dallas this year with Joe's mom and step-dad. We had a bunch of presents we didn't want to haul up there so we had a small christmas before we left. Grandpa Paul got all of us stockings with our names, and little boat bags for the kids with their initials.

Grandma SuSu and Grandpa Tim also sent some gifts for the kids. Caroline is playing with Nicholas' gift.. a pirate dress-up set. The whole next day Nicholas was a pirate and our cars were boats.

On the plan back to Seattle! We had a rough night with the kids being sick and then had to catch an early plane back to Seattle. We had 7 minutes to spare when we got to the gate and it was just enough time to get everyone's clothes changed and in our seats on the plane. We landed in Seattle and there was snow everywhere! it was great!

Oh, another pic from grandma's... baking cookies for Santa!!!!!
