So, my plan of updating daily has already faiiled..... first I forgot my camera a couple days and then I just got too busy and then too tired to actually sit down at my computer and think clearly enough to write a sentence. The kids and I have been together for more than 10 days without a babysitter or a break so we have been trying to find ways to not go insane with each other. Thankfully this last few days we have had plenty on our plate to do...
We have spent many mornings at the park... Last Saturday we went to a park near our house and when we arrived, we found 100's of baby frogs (pictures to come later... they are on my phone). The kids had so much fun trying to catch them all.... Needless to say, everyone had to scrub their hands and take a bath when we got home.
Sunday was followed up by another morning at a different park.... this time the kids were covered in sand and needed to take baths when we got home. The mornings have been a little cooler than normal here which makes it great for park play dates. It's hard when 2 o'clock rolls around and the kids need to get out of the house, but it's 95* out and way too hot! I miss being able to go to the park in the middle of the day like we did in WA....
Nicholas & Molly sharing a brief moment of happy play time :)
Monday we went with some friends to an indoor play area. We were there for over 3 hours, and not once did any of the kids ask to leave. It was wonderful. Sad we hadn't found this place right after Joe left....

We have found a new frozen yogurt place too! Aunt Kendra introduced us to Mechies in Seattle when we were home this summer. Upon returning to El Paso, we found one here! It is a horrible, no good, place to find! Kidding, it's actually pure heaven and we have been way too many times since we got back. It's a place where you can pick out your flavor of yogurt, throw on as much or as little toppings as you like, and then pay for it by the ounce. The kids and I have it down to near perfection when it comes to how much we all need (which also makes it more reasonable in price!)
Thanks Auntie Kendra for our new addiction!!!
Tuesday evening at the park.... along with cooler mornings, we have had a couple cooler evenings! Fall can't come soon enough here!!!
Our little fashionista!
Thursday morning we joined up with some friends again and went to a great indoor pool. They have a shallow pool with a spray area for the kids... The kids love it because they don't have to wear sunscreen! And we love it cause it isn't crowded and a good way to spend the morning and wear the kids out for the afternoon :)
This afternoon we are off to meet Caroline and Nicholas' teachers for the upcoming school year. Normally I wouldn't be this excited for school to start, but with Joe gone we need some help getting into a good routine and schedule! I am SO excited for Monday and hopefully the kids will be too!!
