Back to Birmingham....
We ran off to Birmingham again this weekend... We had a great time hanging out with Joe's sister Katie and her family... and of course little baby Henry. Grandma SuSu and Grandpa Tim were great hosts as always. We had a weekend full of fun, and there were so many pictures that I just put them all up here nice and little :) you can click on them and see them bigger if you really want to. Molly loved hanging out and chasing everyone around. Caroline wanted to be everyone's little helper and she is the one who took the pic of the lizard. Grandma SuSu and Katie found us a slip and slide for the kids to play on and even Joe and I jumped in on the fun. The kids really wanted to do s'mores and Joe found some fireworks for us to set off.. it was such a fun weekend! Hard to say good-bye, but at least they're only a few hours away!!!
Joe's Birthday....
Happy Birthday to Joe!! We got to spend a great evening as a family and eat outside on our deck for the first time (it's usually WAY too hot to eat outside!)...

I couldn't resist taking a picture of dinner. We had sweet corn, bbq beef (yes mine's in a hot dog bun) and pan fried potatoes. It was SO good! The perfect summertime/birthday dinner.

Miss Molly enjoying her corn...

Caroline showing off her stickers, and if you look close enough you can see another hole in her mouth! Tooth number 5 fell out a couple days ago.....

Visit with the Lipsey's....
Last weekend Joe and I were fortunate enough to go up to Charleston and visit with the Lipsey's. They were so generous to take our kids and give Joe and I a night off... We got up to thier house around lunch and headed to the pool for a while with all the kids. Of course, at that point I didn't have my camera..... then, we dropped the kids off and Joe and I headed off to downtown Charleston for the night. We got to go to a really cute little hotel and walked around downtown, caught the sunset from a rooftop bar, had a great dinner and got to sleep in. Then we had breakfast on the rooftop of our hotel and wandered around the city for a little bit more before heading back to Brooke and John's. The kids had such a great time and it was really fun to hang out with Brooke and John. It's so nice to have friends from back home only 2 hours away!

Another lost tooth...
Today we lost another tooth...... no corn on the cob for her this summer!!!!!!

just in case you couldn't read the other pictures.....
yes, that's right, she swallowed her tooth... Not 10 minutes before it happened we were brushing her teeth and checking how loose her tooth was. She tried to tug on it a little bit, but it still wasn't quite ready. Then, next thing I know, she's in my room telling me that she swallowed her tooth! Sure enough, there wasn't a tooth left hanging in her mouth. She was blowing up a beach ball and Nicholas was goofing around and ran into her and out came her tooth, straight down her throat!! So, we wrote a note to the tooth fairy... (sadly though the tooth fairy wasn't prepared for this... not sure what's going to happen!)
Cousin Henry...
Last week we went on a quick, quick visit to Birmingham to see Aunt Katie and her new little baby boy... Henry Joseph Amberson. He is such a little peanut and SO adorable!!!!!!! The kids had a great time hanging out at Grandma SuSu's and Nicholas even asked Grandpa Tim if he could go fishing.. (sadly, all the fish in the pond died the week before we got there)... it was really cute though...
Anyway... the kids had fun meeting Henry, but we quickly left Friday morning when I realized that Molly was coming down with something. The last thing I wanted to do was get Henry or anyone else close to him sick. But, I can't wait to go back and enjoy some more time with that little bundle of joy!

Molly was totally intrigued by this little guy.. at one point I was holding him and she tried to grab him off my chest. I'm still not sure if it was because she wanted to hold him, or she was jealous, but I think she just wanted to hold him.. She loves taking care of little baby dolls. It was really cute to watch her, but thankfully my baby clock didn't start ticking.....
