Children's Museum

Off to Chik-fil-a for lunch...


We were giving the kids a bath.. Molly wandered into the bathroom with her cloths on but I never expected to find her in the tub... she just wanted to play with Nicholas and Brady....


We spent one morning at the Children's Museum and the kids had a blast running around and checking everything out.. (yes, that is a band-aid, and a pink band-aid at that, over his eye. He scratched his eyeball at the gym... oops!)

Nicholas had fun playing with the trains. He has a ton of trains at home, but doesn't play with them the way he did here...

Little Fishes.....

We spent quite a few hours at the pool. It was one place that the kids could be wild and loud and play and have a lot of fun and get really worn out so they would go home and take good rests. We all had a lot of fun playing in the pool. It was like we were on vacation every afternoon... it all went by way too fast!!!!

The first things that Brady and Matt pulled out when they got up in the morning after a late night arrival was Star Wars Jedi capes that their Abbi made for our kids... even little miss Molly got a cape....




One of the first outings we had was a trip to the zoo... the kids did well considering how hot and muggy out it was. We got to see some animals very up close and personal.. favorite of all was the hippos.....

Molly...

This post is all molly.... she is such a silly little girl who is moving around non-stop these days. She is pretty much walking 99.9% of the time and is almost up to running. She loves to run after the big kids but still doesn't like it when they get too close. She is also becoming very independant! She won't let me hold her bottle for her anymore and really doesn't even want to be held while she is taking her bottle either. My sister had a good idea with her twins, but I don't have a bouncy seat, so I pulled out Molly's old carrier instead. She loves to snuggle in and hang out in her seat with her bottle. The other day this was how I found her... with remote in hand and looking pretty intent on changing the channels.....




One of her other favorite activites is taking a bath in the kitchen sink. She does not like to take a bath in the the big bathtub at all! I don't know if its because of the big kids, or what, but even if I put her in there by herself it takes her a long time to get comfy and play.. so tonight she sat in the kitchen sink playing while I washed the dishes in the other side of our sink... (side note.. our dishwasher SUCKS so we are having to wash everything by hand these days... yuck!)





I tried and I tried to get her to smile, but she would have none of it.. she just kept sticking her hands in her mouth.... she has 4 top teeth coming in all at the same time. not fun!

Grandma came down for a few days... everyone snuggled up on the floor to watch a movie.. Miss molly even jumped in the middle!

This last week was both my birthday and John's birthday so last night we had a small little party and the kids finally sang happy birthday to me (and john)!


Nicholas went with Daddy yesterday to get his hair cut. When it was Nicholas' turn, he said he wanted it "just like daddy's!" and that is what he got... SHORT!

Beginning of August....

Last Sat. on a whim, we went and got Caroline's ears pierced. She was a total trooper and got cute little diamond (fake) studs put in. Afterwards we went and bought her this cute dress.... If you look really closely at the picture you can barely see the sparkle in her left ear. Unfortunately they didn't last long... the next morning she accidentally pulled one earring out while taking off her pj's. We tried and tried to get it back in and had no luck. We decided to take them both out and just have them redone in a few months.



Yesterday was mommy's birthday... We had a great laid back day and tonight we are going out to dinner. My kids and family are great and I am so blessed to have great friends too! Bummer that I couldn't be with everyone to celebrate... BUT.. Nicholas got the biggest present of all, Grandma brought him a superman blow up bed. He loves it! Slept like a baby in it last night. A definite hit!!!!!!!


Since we're going out to dinner tonight, we all needed to have a little rest time together.. I had intentions of taking Molly up to her crib after getting the older two settled in, but she had another idea in mind. She just snuggled right in between the two of them with her bottle and her binkis.. She was a little upset when I finally took her upstairs and put her in her crib.

I finally got a little clip of her walking this morning.. she keeps taking more and more steps! Our little baby is growing up WAY too fast!!!!
