More Easter Pics

This was our pet for a few days..... caroline and our neighbor across the street, Allison, found a potato bug. Caroline got to bring him home in a jar and have him sleep in her room. She took him everywhere with her that she could. Caroline and allison had made a deal that she got him for a couple days and then Allison got him for a couple days and then they would swap again. But, we took mr. potato bug over to allison's two days ago and he hasn't come home yet... (i think he's long been dead).

Happy Easter!

It's hard to believe that Easter has come and gone already! A year ago at this time I was still pregnant... wow! Anyway, we had a great crazy Easter at the Capozzi house. My mom made brunch and the whole clan was there, minus my brother-in-law Ryan who got stuck in Hawaii. We went home for a quick little afternoon nap and then came back for Easter dinner. There was SO much good food!!!!!! But, man, I can't eat like that everyday!!

Papa brought out the camera, and cousin Emma knew exactly what to do! CHEESE!

The weather didn't hold but that's pretty normal in Washington. We had a beautiful Saturday and beautiful Monday, but Sunday was wet and COLD!! But, that didn't stop the Easter Bunny from laying some eggs or the kids from going and collecting them. Have to but the rain boots and coats to good use :)

Caroline showing off the loot from the Easter Bunny...

Have to try to get at least one shot of all the cousins. Most of the pictures had 3 of the 5 smiling, and of course it was always a different set of 3. If you check out the mirror in the background, you can see a few of us trying to be funny to get the kids to smile. Didn't work so well!

Jail Bird

Little miss Molly is ALL over the place these days. She will be 7 months on Friday and is changing all the time. All 3 of our kids have been early crawlers, but it just seems so strange to see this little thing moving around on the floor. She isn't even 15 pounds yet. Today I put her down for a nap and after letting her cry for a while I went to check on her and this is what I found! Good thing I lowered the mattress on the crib when I did!

Bath time.... Molly got to have her first bath with Nicholas and Caroline. I think it lasted all about a minute before she was done with them... just long enough to get scrubbed down and rinsed off. :)

Our little night-owl

It's 11:35 and Molly is WIDE awake and playing, and having a grand ole' time on the floor. I don't see her going to sleep anytime soon. No yawns, no rubbing of the eyes, nothing!!!! I would really like to go to bed!!!!!!!

AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight at some point, Joe and I heard Nicholas making some noise and this is what Joe found....Nicholas in bed, on the floor.. We couldn't figure out if he fell out of bed, or if he did this on his own. He eventually went back into his bed. Silly guy!

Today we went to the zoo.. It was Molly's first trip in the backpack and she was a trooper! I have a feeling we'll be using this a lot more as she gets older.

She was so comfortable she fell asleep and took a decent nap!

Caroline and Taylor had fun playing on the slide.

Up close and personal with the tiger :)

Molly is working on solid foods. She likes her avacado and peas, not so fond of the bananas and peaches yet.....

A great little package arrived the other day from Grandma. Caroline got a dress for her and a matching dress for her baby doll. She loved wearing it :) Thanks Grandma!!!

Last Thursday Caroline's ballet class had open viewing so we got to sit in and watch. Nana came with us and Caroline was so happy to have us there. She definately had to show off!!! She was sitting on one side of the room with her teacher and she kept coming over and giving me hugs and kisses..... I think I got more that hour than I did all week. It was really cute to see her jumping around in her little outfit.

Caroline was having some technical difficulty with her skirt, and the next thing we know, she's taking it off in the middle of dancing... total goof ball!

With Caroline's new short haircut, I keep tossing around the idea of getting her ears pierced. Nana gave her some "earrings" for Valentine's day. They were just little stickers, but she had fun with them for the hour they stayed on.

A couple weekends ago, some friends decided to go on a NW adventure and we took the ferry to Seattle and then went out to dinner. The kids had a great time running around on the ferry and hanging out with each other. It was a little chilly, but it wasn't raining.

Nicholas and Brady hanging out at dinner.

Goofy mom and son! I wonder where Nicholas gets it from?

More pics from the ferry. (For a good laugh, check out Brady's face!!!! HA HA!!!!!)

The Laybourn's on the Ferry boat. (Seattle skyline in the background).

Mattie and Caroline at dinner... :)

Caroline and all the boys on the Ferry.

Warming up and having a snack inside.

Nicholas LOVES his baby sister. Sometimes a little too much. He wants to snuggle up right next to her anytime he gets a chance...

She's a trooper most of the time and loves to laugh at Nicholas as long as he's not tackling her.

Caroline (or should I say Cinderella) dancing with her daddy!

Molly

I was in the kitchen with the kids and when I turned around, there was miss Molly sitting up all by herself... baby gate's up, need outlets covered and all of the kids little things put away, Molly is taking over the house!

Oh what a day!

So, this afternoon, our lovely daughter Caroline decided to take some beauty matters into her own hands. While she was doing an art project, I was distracted by a phone call and left Caroline in her own little world.... BIG MISTAKE! I returned to the kitchen a few minutes later to my daughter with no hair! When I asked why she did it she just said "because". We got a few other reasons out of her.. "I wanted to," "I want it short like Papa, " "now I don't have any knots". And all I could do was go back and forth between laughing and crying...

After.. We were able to squeeze in at a local kids hair salon and have the craziness fixed up. It doesn't look too bad now, but it could definitely use some growing out. Only problem is that it took 4 years for her hair to get as long as it had.... hopefully by 8 she'll have long hair again!
