Molly

I was in the kitchen with the kids and when I turned around, there was miss Molly sitting up all by herself... baby gate's up, need outlets covered and all of the kids little things put away, Molly is taking over the house!

Oh what a day!

So, this afternoon, our lovely daughter Caroline decided to take some beauty matters into her own hands. While she was doing an art project, I was distracted by a phone call and left Caroline in her own little world.... BIG MISTAKE! I returned to the kitchen a few minutes later to my daughter with no hair! When I asked why she did it she just said "because". We got a few other reasons out of her.. "I wanted to," "I want it short like Papa, " "now I don't have any knots". And all I could do was go back and forth between laughing and crying...

After.. We were able to squeeze in at a local kids hair salon and have the craziness fixed up. It doesn't look too bad now, but it could definitely use some growing out. Only problem is that it took 4 years for her hair to get as long as it had.... hopefully by 8 she'll have long hair again!

6 months

Molly is growing up quickly. She loves to sit in her high chair and play with her toys while we hang out in the kitchen. The last few days have been filled with a couple firsts... crawling and eating food... It's funny to see her moving around. She is such a little peanut!!!
She hasn't quite got the hang of the food; it goes in and comes right back out. I think towards the end a little more was going in.

Ballerina

Caroline has started taking ballet lessons and is loving it! She was so excited to put her outfit on the first day and still looks forward to Thursday afternoons :)

Boys...

Our poor son, Nicholas... he really needs some more boys to play with . Caroline is very much into being a princess or ballerina and Nicholas gets sucked right into it... some days he's Snow White, other days it's Belle.

Courtney had a small vacuum cleaner that Caroline loved to use so she gave it to us. Caroline has become quite the little helper cleaning up the kitchen and the bathrooms. Every now and then Nicholas wants to help... again, poor kid! Anyone have an extra football helmet laying around?

Been a while!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We had a few friends and their kids over for New Years... Caroline had a blast and stayed up until 1:30am! Needless to say she was exhausted the next day!!!!

Here's to a great 2008!!!!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!!! hope everyone had a great Christmas and got to spend time with family and friends!

We had a good time this year, although, Joe was in the hospital on Christmas Eve being treated for Pnemonia... (i'm sure I didn't spell that right!). He was supposed to work and people at work made him go get seen by another dr. again. He had been seen a few times already, but this time he really had it bad... but he got to come home from work and wake up with us on Christmas morning feeling a ton better!

As kids, my sisters and I always got pj's on christmas eve and then my dad would read us 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. This year, the kids got their pj's on thanksgiving so they could wear them all through December, but they put them on Christmas Eve and my dad read them the story. It was cute to see them all sit there and listen to Papa.

Christmas morning at our house was a little busy. The kids had so much fun opening their presents and got so spoiled by everyone. We spent the morning at our house with Joe's brother Mike and his girlfriend Jamie, and then later in the day we went to my parents house with the rest of my family.

other stuff

Daddy and Molly taking a nap together......

my sisters, kendra and courtney, had a little too much fun one night and created this little movie of the kids having a snowball fight.. the other two babes in the clip are Madeline and Emma, courtney's twin girls.

The Nutcracker

This year for Caroline's birthday present from mommy, I took her to the Nutcracker in Seattle with some friends. We got all dressed up and even wore our pearls. It was a lot of fun just to hang out with her. We don't get a lot of one on one time these days. She said she liked having "girl time" with mommy. But then on the way home after telling me how much she liked it she said "mommy, I really didn't want you to take me to the ballet." Strange child. Can't make up her mind. She is also starting Ballet classes in January and she knows it, so it's been fun to watch her pretend to be a ballerina like the ones she saw in the Nutcracker.

Nicholas has decided now that it's Christmas time and Halloween has come and gone that it would be fun to wear his original halloween costume (he wanted nothing to do with it at halloween) and he runs around now being superman whenever we can. We have left the house a few times with his Superman outfit on.. silly kid!

Molly having a fun moment on her play mat.

Nana brought a gingerbread house over one afternoon and the kids had a great time putting candy on the house, and in their mouths. They were on quite the sugar high that afternoon!

4 YEARS!

Caroline is 4 years old! Where in the world has 4 years gone. She had a fun weekend with all her friends and family. She started out going birthday shopping with Nana. They went to Nordstroms and found a birthday dress and had lunch at the cafe. She had such a great time. (She is wearing the pink dress in all her other birthday pics).

Sunday we had pink snowflake pancakes to kick the day off and then we went to a place called Pump it Up for her birthday party. One of her best friends, Mattie, has the same birthday so we had our party together. The kids had so much fun, and so did some of the adults (not me in any way.. hee hee! I felt like I was 15 again) jumping around on the toys.

The birthday kids....

After the first party we came home and had pizza and the rest of my family over for more party time. Caroline was blessed with some great gifts. She has plenty of stuff to keep her busy for a long time!

Molly is 4 months old! Yikes!! How did 4 months already go by so darn fast?
She loves to be in her jumparoo and the kids are usually good about letting her play, usually.

We went out with Nana and Papa yesterday to find a christmas tree for them. We cheated this year and bought a fake one for our house, but Nana and Papa still wanted a real one. While we were looking Caroline kept finding "the perfect tree for her". So, we bought a small real one to have for the kids.

Papa cut the tree down for Caroline and she carried it by herself all the way to the car! When we got to the car there were just a few snowflakes falling, by the time we got home it was white everywhere. As usual though in Washington, it was gone in a few hours. The rain has moved in and washed it all away :(

The kids had fun running around for a few moments....

Caroline and I set up her tree this morning. She is very happy to have her own tree!
