A week of "firsts"

Yes, it's been a while... I won't ramble on too much. Joe has finally made it home and we are VERY happy to have him back. He has been making the transition back to work at Madigan. He has run into a few people from his past and it will be nice to be in a familiar place again. He and I were able to sneak away earlier this week for two nights in Leavenworth without the kids. We had a nice time reconnecting and just hanging out with each other. The first day we were walking around the village and there was a dad with two young ones about the ages of Caroline and Nicholas... I felt a little guilty that they were home with Nana and Papa... oh well, every parent needs a little time away, right?

Nicholas experienced two "firsts" this week... His first ear infection, and his first tooth! His tooth has come in really nicely actually. He hasn't been fussy, and he hasn't been quite the drooly mess that Caroline was when she was teething. He has a second tooth ready to pop through at any moment also. It's fun to watch him play with his tounge over his tooth. He does it all day long... silly boy.

Caroline is just being her normal 2-year old self. Into everything, likes to be a big help, but also likes to be the big bully sister to Nicholas. She has really enjoyed having her daddy back around to play with.

I've posted a few new pictures... We had Lobster for Nana's birthday and Caroline had fun playing with the body. In the last couple of pictures of Nicholas there is one where you might be able to see his tooth... it's only just broken through, so it's still a little hard to see.
Hope all is well with everyone!!!!!
