football kids....

Our kids definitely have picked up on the Steeler craziness at our house. One mention of the Steeler's and they are running around trying to find their t-shirts. The kids got all dressed up, put on some tatoos and we went for a walk in the neighborhood with Daddy. We had a bunch of old bread and decided to go feed the fish.

pumpkins and treats

We have had a crazy weather week... one day is cold, gloomy, and rainy, next day is beautiful, warm and sunny... go figure. We took advantage of the sunny day and carved our pumpkins outside. Nicholas was not thrilled with the touching the inside of the pumpkin. Caroline loved it!

The finished products...
This was Nicholas' scary face.
Molly's little pumkin.

Caroline's bat..

On Halloween morning we had special pancakes...

We weren't really sure what the weather was going to do for trick or treating so we went down early to Nicholas' preschool church and went "trunk or treating" and had some hot dogs and cotton candy. Just as we pulled out of the parking lot it started raining!

Batgirl!

Nicholas changed his mind at the last minute and decided to be black spiderman again...

Getting ready to head out for the neighborhood! Just as they started it stopped raining and it stayed dry long enough for the kids to get quite a pumpkin full of loot!

Molly had to get one last sucker before she went out...

The loot for the Great Pumpkin.... I think he's nice and fat and happy now!!!

The nice toys that the Great Pumpkin brought for the kids :)

We had a great time this year dressing up and having pumpkin decorations around the house. Time to put them all away and get out the Thanksgiving stuff!

Halloween at school

Both kids got to have a little Halloween fun at school. Nicholas had a party in his class and everyone dressed up. Nicholas was a storm trooper :)

Nicholas and Gideon playing m & m bingo

Mmmmm..... pizza!

At Caroline's school the theme this year was "reading". The kids were encouraged to dress up as thier favorite storybook charactor and bring a book the character was in. Caroline chose "Fancy Nancy." She was one of 3 in her class! In the afternoon, her class went on a parade through the school.

Hanging with Nana....

Grandma left, and Nana showed up... it's been a busy couple of weeks around our house. Nana came bearing a few gifts for the kids... Below is a cute outfit that Caroline received...

Caroline and our neighbor Grace

Molly playing in her car...

Nana and Nicholas building legos... He's wearing a cute basketball hoodie that Nana brought him.

Baking pumpkin muffins :)

Nana and Molly were hanging out in the back yard... Little Molly dribbles better than Caroline does and Caroline even tried playing soccer for about 3 weeks. We may finally have an athlete with this one :)

Pecan Pie

Grandma left for a couple days to go visit her sisters and the one thing Caroline wanted Grandma to bring back was Pecans.... and she did! Caroline came home from school today and she got Grandma to help her make some pies. Nicholas even decided to jump in on the fun. Sadly, though, when the pies were done, Nicholas didn't want to even eat any. Guess that means more for the rest of us... yum!!!!!

While the pies were baking Nicholas got into a little bit of fun :) He fits perfectly inside this suitcase... hopefully he won't find himself in there when Grandma leaves.

The finished product! They'll be gone tomorrow!!!!!

October

Grandma is here! October has been and is continueing to be a month of visitors! First Chris was here for a few days, then Grandma showed up last Friday, and my mom will be here on Monday! We are loving seeing some familiar faces!!!

Grandma was out with her camera goofing off with the kids...

Nicholas found these shirts and put them on himself and Molly. In the afternoons before Caroline gets home from school, these two get to hang out and have fun together. It has been fun to see Nicholas be a "big brother" to Molly. They get along pretty well when it's just the two of them. She loves to hang out with him! He even tucks her in for her nap sometimes too.... too cute!

We ventured out for pumpkins last weekend... Sadly the only "pumpkin patch" was a pile of pumpkins at a local church down the road. We could have gone to a bigger one, but it was a drive and cost $$$$. Local and cheap was good enough for the kids :)

Molly and her baby pumpkin. She loves this darn thing!!! We say "good morning" to it every day, "good night" every night and "bye" as we pull out of the drive way... (will someone please tell her to STOP growing!!!!!)

updates.....

yes, it's been a while... a long while i think! oops!!! Here's just a few pics from this month...

Nicholas had picnic day at preschool so he wanted Molly and I to come "picnic-ing" with him. Sadly it was a really rainy day so we had our picnic inside.

Nicholas has found Joe's DS and the batman game that we got Joe for Christmas. My kids have not been much into video games so far and it's been fun to see Nicholas and Caroline get interested a little bit and be able to figure out the game.

Halloween is coming and someone is getting excited!!!!

Chris came into town this weekend for a short visit and we had plans to go to a Snow Patrol concert. We then realized that the Braves had an afternoon game and since we were going to Atlanta anyway, we thought we'd try to get tix... It was the perfect fall day for a game. We enjoyed some dinner and left around the 7th inning to go to the concert.

Miss Molly just being a goof-ball!!!!

Somehow there aren't any pics of Caroline... guess we'll have to work on that this week and get some new pics up! :)
